Pub Party

I'm totally digging this idea for a beer tasting get together, dreamed up by Camille Styles. I spotted it on coco+kelley, and it was originally inspired by Martha Stewart. As previously mentioned, Chris and I seldom drink liquor. When it comes to great wine or amazing craft beers, however, that's another story.

I think it's an awesome idea to bring the gastropub trend into your own home and have a laid-back soirée with your nearest and dearest. The tablescape is masculine, yet elegant. The menu of roasted Buffalo shrimp, smokey parsnip chips, cocktail meatballs and bacon-blue cheese sandwiches sounds so delish, it's making me salivate. Top it all off with a frothy pint (or three), and you've got one heck of a party. Brownie points if you and your friends homebrew!

I found your blog from Punctuation Mark's blog and I just could not help but notice the striking similarity between the choices you would select for a dinner party and my own.... I'd say we have a bit in common! I'm already loving your blog and this post is amazing! Eric and I love good wine and craft beers so I love the idea of beer tasting. We actually fell in love with an amazing beer place in Rome, Italy when we lived there of all places. It has hundreds of craft beers on tap made locally, so awesome.

You have a brand new follower - here and on twitter! Cheers :)

I may be the only person left who hasn't bought a chalkboard cheese board.
