the Garden

{karen buckle photography}

This gorgeous shoot was originally inspired by an afternoon garden wedding, but with Easter right around the corner, I thought it would make a perfect Springtime fĂȘte. The table, styled by Green & Bloom is dressed in vintage lace, simple china and silver cutlery accompanied by fresh moss, herbs and vibrant flowers. Katrina Meynink of Le Petite Miette created the menu featuring slow cooked wagyu beef and Guinness pies, honey and rosemary roasted heirloom carrots, a salad of potatoes, capers and olives, and an assortment of French cheeses and sun-dried persimmons. For dessert, raspberry and hibiscus tarts with dried plum meringue and cookies n' cream rocky road squares. I know, you're drooling, right? Don't worry, I'm not judging-I'm drooling too.

I love how beautiful this is without being overly girly. Mother Nature is the star of both the decor and menu, which keeps the whole event fresh, elegant and simple. Now wouldn't you just love to have your nearest and dearest around a table like this on Sunday?

A small note: classic girl, modern world will be silent tomorrow in observance of Good Friday. Wishing you and your loved ones a wonderfully Happy Easter. See you all Easter Monday!

Filipa, thank you for your lovely comment. The photos were not shot by me, though I wish I were that talented! Karen Buckle was the gifted photographer behind the lense of this gorgeous event.
