a Rustic Affair

This shoot may have been inspired by a modern, rustic wedding, but I think it would make a great dinner party. Chris and I don't usually drink liquor, except for the occassional Scotch, so a wine and cheese get-together is right up our alley.

Alchemy Fine Events worked in collaboration with Enchanted Dream Weddings and Isari Flower Studio to present this warm, earthy tablescape. Artisanal cheeses like the soft goat cheese medallions topped with fresh pomegranate seeds and honeycombs, and crusty, fresh breads were paired with an assortment of fine wines. The long wooden table was draped with a burlap runner, hand-dyed cheese clothes and finished with simple white china and raw silverware.

I was really happy to see arrangements of my two favorite flowers, black eyed anemones and white ranunculus, and the fresh ferns in mini terra cotta pots. The scene stealer of the shoot is definitely that perfectly uniced cake, with simple layers of vanilla buttercream and topped with fresh berries. Beautifully captured by Christie Chang.
